UFC 327 results: Matches to make for ‘Jiri vs. Ulberg’ main card winners

MIAMI, FLORIDA - APRIL 11: Paulo Costa of Brazil reacts after a knockout victory against Azamat Murzakanov of Russia in a light heavyweight fight during the UFC 327 event at Kaseya Center on April 11, 2026 in Miami, Florida. UFC 327 went down last night (Sat., April 11, 2026) inside Kaseya Center in Miami, Fla., which saw Carlos Ulberg become the promotion’s new Light Heavyweight champion after knocking out Jiri Prochazka moments after suffering a major knee injury (details here) early into their 205-pound showdown (see it again here). In the co-main event of the evening, Paulo Costa defeated Azamat Murzakanov via third round knockout (details here), while Josh Hokit vs. Curtis Blaydes went to war in a Heavyweight showdown for the ages (see that again here).

Winner: Carlos Ulberg
Who He Should Face Next: Physical therapy (then wait and see)
While the full extent of Ulberg’s injury is unknown at the time, it’s a safe bet that he will be out for the remainder of 2026 because of his unfortunate injury. In the meantime, it’s almost a given that the promotion will likely stage an interim title fight to see who gets to face “Black Jag” once he’s ready to return in 2027. It’s not the best scenario for a new champion (just ask Jiri), but he will have to get healthy before he can defend his belt for the first time after an incredible performance in Miami. At the moment, Magomed Anakalaev sticks out as the top contender for the next title fight.

Winner: Paulo Costa
Who He Should Face Next: Jan Blachowicz vs. Bogdan Guskov winner
Costa had himself a night, handing Murzakanov his first-ever loss via head-kick knockout, which sent him straight to a South Beach hospital for precautionary reasons (more on that here). I would love to see the hulking Brazilian bruiser stay at 205 pounds to see if he can make a run at the title. He just took out the No. 6-ranked contender, so let’s put him up against the winner of the upcoming bout between former champion Jan Blachowicz vs. Bogdan Guskov, who are set to run it back at UFC 328 next month (Sat., May 9, 2026) in New Jersey.

Winner: Josh Hokit
Who He Should Face Next: Derrick Lewis
This fight was booked immediately after Hokit’s incredible win over Blaydes, proving that his antics — and his show of heart (with a hint of craziness) inside the cage — is paying off. In just three wins inside the Octagon, Hokit has garnered the attention of fight fans and UFC CEO, Dana White … for better or worse. Regardless, he now has a huge opportunity to face one of UFC’s fan-favorites in Lewis, who will be more than willing to stand-and-bang to test Hokit’s mettle.

Winner: Dominick Reyes
Who He Should Face Next: Volkan Oezdemir rematch
While Reyes proved victorious against Johnny Walker, he didn’t win a lot of fans or praise for his “technical” performance. Dubbed as one of the worst fights in recent memory by fans online, Reyes will now go into his next fight with pressure to perform better than he did last night, which shouldn’t be too difficult. Nevertheless, Reyes has now won five of his last six fights and rematch against Oezdemir might be next. The two initially met way back in 2019 with Reyes walking away with a razor-thin split decision win. Oezdemir is currently ranked No. 9 in the division, one spot ahead of “The Devastator.” Furthermore, “No Time” has won three of his last four bouts and is coming off a good win over Alonzo Menifield. Interestingly enough, both Reyes and Oezdemir’s last loss came against Ulberg, the newly-crowned champion.
